Born in Ghana and raised between there and the United Kingdom, Kevin is a uniquely qualified engineer whose outlook embodies the best of both worlds.

Kevin studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, UK; where he won the prestigious IMechE best research project award.

He spent a large part of his professional career conducting research on fuel economy and CO2 reduction systems at Ford Motor Company. He is co-inventor of a patented novel thermal system at Ford.

Kevin has always been involved in developing blue sky technologies. An example of which is his recent spell at The Dearman Engine Company. Whilst there, he led a team on a UK government project to develop a cryogenic engine for hybrid buses.

Kevin moved to the Bay of Plenty in early 2017 and got straight into designing an innovative fumigant recapture system for use at the Port of Tauranga.

His broad experience makes him an expert in identifying and leading working groups, owning systems, attributes and first-of-its-kind technical projects. He is well versed in delivering novel or high-risk cross-functional programs.

Additionally, Kevin is uniquely experienced as an engineer with a broader worldview. He co-founded a UK social enterprise supporting NGO’s in developing countries to deliver education programs.

His contribution to the UK social enterprise space was recognised with an invited Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts, as well as membership of Co-operative London.

Kevin’s background and experience make him the right individual to be involved in areas which spearhead innovation through multi-stakeholder research across diverse industry sectors.

Kevin is very excited to be adding to the Locus pool of excellence, especially in the Failure Mode Avoidance realm. He also hopes to pick up a few notes from Locus to enhance his varied repertoire.
