Krissi is a spirited visual communicator, with a passion for typography, print, photography, and interdisciplinary learning.

Growing up in a military family, Krissi spent her early years travelling the UK and Europe, which sparked a constant curiosity for discovering new things. She always had pencils and a colouring book in hand and her artistic skill which eventuated in her enrolment at the College of Creative Arts at Massey University.

Throughout her time at Massey, she actively sought to push boundaries, work in a multidisciplinary manner, and discover who she is as a designer, graduating with an Honours degree in Visual Communication Design.

In her final year at Massey University, Krissi worked on a research and user centred project, based around pregnancy. On top of this, she worked part time as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University, completed an outside internship, participated as an artist in Lux Festival 2014, and spoke as a guest speaker at the Wairarapa Moana Annual General meeting, sharing her creative journey.

Krissi has continued to develop her creative skills at Locus, diving head first into brand strategy, packaging, web development, and social media marketing. The variety in products and projects has allowed her to spread her wings, and continue to present dynamic and exciting results.

She believes that design is more than creating pretty pictures. It’s about pushing boundaries, stepping out of your comfort zone and finding those precious insights in order to create world class design.
